Mycoplasma ovipneumoniae is a respiratory pathogen that impacts domestic sheep (Ovis aries; DS) and bighorn canadensis; BHS). BHS are reported to be more susceptible than DS developing polymicrobial pneumonia associated with M. infection. Using formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissues, we performed retrospective study investigating the pulmonary immune response of infected exhibited robust well-organized BALT formation as compared BHS.
